On 28 May 2024, several keynote speakers engaged in an insightful panel discussion on the importance of using evidence to inform decision-making during health emergencies and disasters. Making research findings accessible so that they can be used in policy and programming is an important next step in ensuring that evidence is used effectively. The aim of this webinar was to highlight the importance of evidence-based decision-making for policymakers and identify ways to enhance the availability and accessibility of high-quality, usable evidence.

The speakers included Mike Clarke from Evidence Aid, Luis Gabriel Cuervo from PAHO, Ahmad Firas Khalid from the Public Health Agency of Canada, Ruth Stewart from the Future Evidence Foundation, Amy Price from Dartmouth Institute, Xavier Bosch-Capblanch from Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, Lisa Robinson from BBC Media Action, and Claire Allen from Evidence Aid.
