Video launch of Resilient Health Systems evidence collection (available in English, Spanish and French)
The recordings below provide insights into this collection and its added value.
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and Evidence Aid have collaborated for over a decade and, in June 2021, together developed an Evidence Aid collection relevant to resilient health systems in the context of disasters and other health emergencies.
This collection summarizes systematic reviews (in English, Portugues, Español and Français) on topics that PAHO/WHO prioritized, to support preparedness, response, and recovery, thereby sustaining and protecting public health gains.
The summaries should inform policies, plans, and programs for universal access to health and universal health coverage, the United Nations’ Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The collection was launched in February 2022 (watch below) with a panel including Evidence Aid’s Research Director Emeritus, Prof. Mike Clarke, the Health Emergencies Director of the Ministry of Health of Chile, Ms. Paola Pontoni, and WHO’s Head for Disaster Risk Management and Resilience, Health Security and Preparedness Health Emergency Program, Dr. Qudsia Huda.
Recordings of the launch are available in English, Español and Français (all below).
Since the collection’s launch, we have been implementing Phase 2, which will have over 200 summaries included in the collection and improvements being made to our website.
