Health changes differently after floods or storms.

The difference in changes to health over time after flood and after storm disasters has not been well-described. This review found that health changes differently after floods or storms. Increases in poisonings, injuries, and gastrointestinal and skin infections were seen after storms. Gastrointestinal infections increased after floods. Leptospirosis and diabetes-related complications increased after both. Most changes occurred within four weeks of the disasters.
