Coordinating the Provision of Health Services in Humanitarian Crises: a Systematic Review of Suggested Models
The Cluster Approach appears to be used more widely than the others as a co-ordination model between organizations providing health services in public health emergencies. The 4Ws and the 5×5 models focus on coordinating mental health services.
A number of models for coordination between organizations providing health services in public health emergencies have been proposed. This systematic review identified the models implemented by entities funding or delivering health services in humanitarian crises and did not identify any model of coordination for funding health services. Five eligible coordination models for delivering health services are described in the literature.
